What is AVID?
AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to prepare
students with the necessary resources for college and a career. In our program, teachers provide intensive support through tutorials and strong student/teacher bonds. Here at Wilson High School, the AVID system is implemented across all content area in what we call school wide AVID.

AVID NATIONAL DEMONSTRATION SITE
Wilson is the first and only AVID National Demonstration High School in Los Angeles Unified School District. Out of 7,000+ AVID sites in the world, there are only 203 that are honored as National Demonstration schools. We are proud to be a model AVID school!
